Short answers, each citing the behaviour as it is. The longer version of every answer is on the page it links to.
Where do the tenders come from?
Three official sources read through their published OCDS APIs — Find a Tender, Contracts Finder and Public Contracts Scotland — filtered to FM work by CPV code and refreshed hourly. Each notice links back to its source. See Find tenders.
What is the fit score, and why did a tender I would bid score low?
Fit is a score out of 100 against your company profile — service lines, regions, contract value bands and buyer types — plus your delivery history and buyer-type win rates. It is a prompt to look, not a recommendation to bid. A low score on a tender you would bid usually means the profile does not include the service line or region it falls under: change the profile on Getting started and the feed re-scores.
How long does analysing an ITT pack take, and must I stay on the page?
Usually 4–8 minutes, and no. The analysis runs in the background, shows on Activity while it runs, and the card updates when it lands. See The ITT pack.
Why is a field marked "needs human review"?
Because WayWiser flags rather than guesses. Every field the analysis reads carries a confidence; anything below the threshold is flagged for a person to confirm, and a document the reader could only partly understand is held as "review needed" rather than passed off as ready. Confirm or correct the flagged item and the flag clears.
Why can't I create a bid plan yet?
The button is refused, with the reason, in one of four cases: the pack has not been analysed yet; no go / no-go decision has been recorded (the plan is only built for tenders you commit to); the tender was archived as a no-bid; or a plan already exists. See Go / no-go and The bid plan.
Are clarifications and "Before you decide" required?
No. Both are recommended, not required, and say so on the How-to map. Nothing is gated on them; each answer just removes a guess from the plan or scores a factor the platform's data cannot.
What does go / no-go score, and can I overrule it?
Five factors — capability match, incumbent strength, buyer price behaviour, capacity in region and strategic value — from your win history, facts bank, delivery profile and interview answers, each with its basis shown. Under half the weighting scored gives "Not enough evidence", never a no-bid. You decide: Commit to bid or No-bid. Going against the recommendation needs a reason, which is logged with the decision.
Why does a paragraph carry an amber flag?
The draft could not ground that claim in your library. The flag reads "Unverified claim — fix with facts bank or edit manually": Fix re-drafts the block from a matching fact and the citation attaches; or edit the text yourself. Nothing unverified is hidden. See Drafting and review.
Does the review tell me what score I'll get?
No. The evaluator review returns coverage against each rubric criterion and the specific gaps to the top band — a review, never a score forecast. WayWiser will not predict marks until it has enough scored outcomes to calibrate against.
Why is an expired certificate blocking the checklist?
Only current facts satisfy a checklist item or enter a draft. A fact is current when its expiry is known and not passed; expiring (within 60 days), expired and undetermined facts are held back, and expired ones are flagged on every live checklist. Renew the fact — or set the expiry the reader could not determine — on the Knowledge page. See Knowledge engine.
Why did a draft stop with "Try again"?
A draft job failed, and the card says why. Drafts never retry automatically: each run uses paid AI capacity, so retrying is always your click. One other reason a draft is refused before it starts: your company has reached its daily AI budget, and the message says so.
Where is our data stored, and what leaves the UK?
Everything at rest is in Google Cloud's London region. Four processing steps leave it: drafting prompts route via OpenRouter in the US, uploaded files may be parsed by Reducto in the US, Google's ranking service is a global endpoint, and the web front end — which builds each page and passes what you type, upload and download to and from the API — runs in Google Cloud's Belgium region, inside the EEA, and keeps nothing on disk. See Security and your data and the security page.
Can WayWiser staff see our bids?
Named WayWiser administrators can open a customer workspace to support it. Each time one opens a workspace they are not a member of, an entry is written to that workspace's audit log and shown to its admins under Company settings → WayWiser staff access.
Is our content used to train models?
No. There is no model-training or fine-tuning code in WayWiser, and every model request carries a routing restriction limiting it to providers that do not retain or train on inputs — a routing control, not a signed no-training contract with each provider, and the security page says exactly that.
Who can invite people, and what is the difference between admin and member?
Admins invite people, set roles, restrict corpus access and manage company settings; members work bids. A company always keeps at least one admin. See Team and roles.
How do we delete our workspace?
Company settings → Delete workspace, typing the company name to confirm. That starts a seven-day window you can cancel from the same page; after it, a nightly job erases the workspace's records and files. Backups expire after 7 days and prior file versions after 30.
Why did the page say "WayWiser has a new version"?
A new build was deployed while the page was open and an action was refused by the newer server. Nothing you just did was saved: reload with the button, then repeat the action. When the page can reload itself it says so and does.
What is in the exported document?
Every question's draft, one per page, inside a cover and contents (branded) or as plain numbered sections (plain), with an optional appendix numbering the evidence each answer cited. See Assemble and submit.
How much does WayWiser cost?
£2,000 per month per bid team — unlimited tenders, your full library, every surface, no per-bid fees. Annual and multi-team pricing on request; the contact form reaches a person.
How do I report a bug or ask a question?
Signed in, Send feedback at the foot of the rail's main list: bug, idea or question, and the page you were on travels with it (as a route pattern, never a tender id). Not signed in, the contact form. Either way the message is stored first and read by a person; where a page here is wrong or missing, the link at the foot of it goes to the same place.
