Getting started

The six setup steps, what each one unlocks, and why the checklist ticks itself from real data.

WayWiser works from day one on the shared reference library; your own library is what makes it sharper. The Getting started page is a six-step checklist that measures itself from real data — a step ticks when the thing it asks for actually exists, never because someone marked it done.

The six steps

  1. Company profile — service lines, regions, contract value bands and buyer types. All four groups need at least one selection. This is what the fit score on Find tenders is measured against, so until it is set the feed cannot say what fits.
  2. Connect sources — done once a document is in your library or a sync connection is live. The upload dropzone on Knowledge engine takes PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx) and Markdown. Google Drive and SharePoint sync appear on the page but are not connected today.
  3. Ingest past bids — done once a past bid has been uploaded or processed into response units (the reusable answers drafting retrieves from).
  4. Record outcomes — done once at least one outcome (won or lost) is recorded and no submitted tender is still waiting for one. Outcomes label your evidence, so drafting knows what actually scored.
  5. Facts bank — done once you hold at least one current fact: a certificate, policy or insurance whose expiry is known and not passed. A fact whose expiry could not be read does not count — set it by hand on the Knowledge page.
  6. Invite your team — done once someone else is a member, or an invitation is pending.

The progress bar and the n/6 complete chip read from the same checks. Each step links to the page where it is completed.

Setting the profile

The profile groups are toggles on the Getting started page. Every change saves immediately and re-scores the feed, so Find tenders reflects the new profile on its next load. The same profile drives the email digest's matches.

What to do first

Set the profile, then upload two or three past bids (ideally ones that won) and the certificates and insurances a checklist will ask for. That is enough to run a go / no-go with evidence behind it and to draft a first answer with citations. The bid journey page walks the path from there.
